Tips for parent interaction with The Rattles:
- Encourage your child to sing along
- Make up your own songs
- Dance to the beat: freestyle or follow the leader - model simple movements that your child can repeat and add to in a pattern
- Jump to the beat
- Clap to the beat
- Count to the beat: this teaches counting skills and time signatures
- Play a rhythmic instrument to the beat
- Create your own instruments and play along: drums, shakers, etc.
- Talk about the different emotions a song creates. Does the song
make you feel happy? Sad? Tired? Energetic?
- Talk about the story told by a song
- Try putting your favorite poem or story to music
